This project was made possible by the Erasmus+ Program 2016 – 2018.

What is „diversity“? Let`s start with the short answer: differences.

The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect. It means understanding that each individual is unique and recognizing our individual differences. These can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs or other ideologies.

It’s about understanding each other and moving beyond simple tolerance to embracing and accepting the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual.

This project will mostly use the theme of understanding differences involving recognizing and appreciating the intercultural dynamics, social identities and the wide range of cultural options that diversity provides for everyone.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character.” Martin Luther King

Take a few minutes to imagine that you woke up and found that you belonged to another culture,another ethnic group,or some other dimension of diversity.You might be European,African,American or Asian, or might have a physical or mental disability.You might belong to a different religious group.You might be a child or a very elderly person.You might be black or white.

Now,ask yourself the following questions;
-What parts of my life would remain the same?
-What parts of my life would be different?

Are you suprised to see how many things in your life would change if your culture changed?
Try to answer this question „What is diversity?
